By Karen Gillerman Harel
Karen’s photograph Past & Future in our Hands bridges the past with the future in an extraordinary blend of sensitivity and symbolism, through the arms of Polish-born Auschwitz survivor Dora Dreiblat, born in 1922, and her great granddaughter Daniela Har-Zvi, born in 2007 in Israel.
By bridging the generations, Karen delivers the message of hope worldwide, making the photograph a compelling historical document. This photograph was issued as a stamp by The Israel Post office and as a poster by The Israeli Government.
Karen sent us this image from Tel Aviv, Israel.
